CHARLOTTE, N.C. (April 15th, 2022) - The Charlotte Independence Soccer Club is excited to announce a 10-year partnership with the Town of Mooresville. Of significant note, the addition of new synthetic fields and other upgrades to the Mazeppa Park complex where our athletes and community have fun, develop and build relationships through yearlong soccer programming and tournaments.
“The Town of Mooresville is excited to formalize a partnership with Charlotte Independence Soccer Club on these upgrades to Mazeppa Park”, said Assistant Parks & Recreation Director Darrin Hucks. “We would like to thank the club for their continued efforts to grow the game of soccer in Mooresville and for their long-term commitment to the community and to Mazeppa Park.”
New synthetic fields will replace the current grass surfaces which will help minimize weather impacts on programs and tournaments. The club’s long term commitment to the Mooresville community is to provide all members the opportunity to have fun and compete in a professional and safe environment. The addition of synthetic fields will allow the Independence to execute that promise.
“We’re delighted to work with the Town of Mooresville in upgrading the Mazeppa Soccer Complex. Synthetic fields are an excellent resource for our members and allow us to fulfill our commitment to the communities we represent.”, said Chief Executive Officer Thomas Finlay. “Onwards and upwards for Independence Soccer in Mooresville and its surrounding areas.”
Over the next 10 years, we look forward to continuing to strengthen our relationship with the families of Mooresville and help provide the resources for all to participate.
