The Independence is one of the handful of clubs in the nation to offer a complete professional pathway through the affiliations with the men's USL League One Professional Charlotte Independence and the new USL Super League Carolina Ascent FC Women's Professional Soccer Team.
The player pathway at the club extends to ownership of the pre-professional Independence USL League Two team, the USL W League Carolina Ascent.

As the chosen Tier 1 Development Affiliate for Carolina Ascent FC, our coaches and players will wear the badge of the Ascent when representing the USL Academy and USL W League teams owned and operated by the club.

CHARLOTTE INDEPENDENCE USL LEAGUE ONE
Established in 2019, the affiliation with the Charlotte Independence professional soccer team provides players a clear pathway to the highest level of professional soccer. The Charlotte Independence currently plays in the United Soccer League One and is focused on building the profile of the club through culture, community and performance playing in the 10,000-seat American Legion Memorial Stadium.
Together, the Independence and Independence Soccer Club are positioned to build a better club in serving the surrounding Charlotte-area soccer communities.

As the youth affiliate of the Charlotte Independence USL League One team, we have a direct pathway to the pros for our boys and men. In addition to the professional team, we support our very own USL League Two team, made up of current and former players who are in the midst their collegiate playing careers.
